Awakening Potential, Creating Prosperity

1. Kijana Amka Changamkia Fursa

Kijana Amka Changamkia Fursa is YWE’s Flagship program that was launched in 2022.This program enables YWE Founders and TOP 50 YWE Alumni to share opportunities, mentor and guide aspiring entrepreneurs wishing to start and grow businesses. To date more than 20 workshops have been conducted both virtually and physically to share opportunities and guide other young women entrepreneurs to start managing and grow businesses in their respective sectors. More than 200 young women have benefitted directly, and more than 3500 young women have benefited indirectly from the workshops.

The vision of YWE is “To become the focal organization that promotes multisectoral economic activities to empower young women entrepreneurs with presence in all regions in Tanzania”.

The mission is “To promote and connect young women entrepreneurs to the resources and tools and give them knowledge needed to advance and succeed in business”.

2. Coffee with YWE

Coffee with YWE was launched in 2023 so far YWE has conducted more than 4 sessions inviting various speakers to share insights and to network with YWE.So far the sessions have covered topics such as effective marketing strategies, budgeting strategies, leveraging AI to grow businesses. To date more than 30 women have participated in the coffee with YWE sessions and have received financial and strategy trainings.

3. TOP 50 YWE Tanzania

The Top 50 Young Women Entrepreneurs Awards is a prestigious annual celebration that recognizes outstanding young female entrepreneurs across Tanzania. Now in its 4th edition, the awards bring together business stakeholders, development partners, industry leaders, investors, ecosystem players to spotlight innovation, resilience and impact by Tanzanian women in business.

Each year, selected entrepreneurs are chosen through a competitive application and judging process involving seasoned professionals from diverse sectors. Winners join Kijana Amka Changamkia Fursa Program and the YWE Alumni Community to access training and opportunities.

4. Formalize Her Business

YWE launched the Formalize Her Business Program on 22^nd/03/2025.The program aims to help young women entrepreneurs to formalize their businesses and to navigate taxation and compliance issues. The program involves physical workshops and online webinars. The first workshop was facilitated by Gabriel Bakilana from KMC associates dived deep into the business formalization process in Tanzania, benefits, and challenges, and offer insights and support on numerous areas including formalization of digital businesses, tax compliance issues, labour laws and intellectual property rights. To date 4 workshops have been held and have covered important topics such as navigating tax laws and regulations and protecting businesses. YWE has also partnered with KKB Attorneys who are managing a dedicated formalisation hotline for YWE in Tanzania. More than 30 Women have benefited from the workshops.

5. Fund Her Business

Fund Her business was launched by YWE in March 2025.Fund Her Business prepares young women entrepreneurs to be investor ready. The program aims to provide YWE with practical insights on Information on available funding opportunities, grants, and business development services, guidance on preparing a business plan and accessing finance.

6. Digitize Her Business

Digitise Her Business aims to equip YWE with digital skills to efficiently run their businesses. The program will also provide training to equip YWE with digital skills and help aspiring entrepreneurs to build digital start-ups. Program Details coming soon.
